Kauffman's clock is sort of a landmark, and-or convenient meeting location, in downtown Pittsburgh. Although Kauffman's ceased to be a few years back, and its former downtown store is a Macy's, Pittsburghers still use the older name for this clock ... so now you know if someone says to meet them at the Kauffman's clock then you want to find the Macy's storefront.

Story behind the image:
Borrowed a camera to take some area photographs. The person had the images' settings for the lowest resolution/quality - 400 x 600 300+kb files. Ugh! Played with the photos in Paint Shop Pro to see what could be done with the once small-suitable-for-email-sharing images.

Older woman reading messages, left on the sides of a building, before leaving flowers at the make-shift memorial in one of Camden's inner city neighborhoods.

Sadly, around this time period, Camden was considered #1 for levels of crime, in the USA, so make-shift memorials on sidewalks, or street corners, were not uncommon. This one caught my eye due to all the writings on the siding. Image quality is a tad low as this was quick shot taken through a slightly dirty bus window.

Mural on side of a Camden County Administration Building. The mural depicts part of Camden New Jersey's once robust economic past - shipping, railroads, and the RCA and Campbell's factories. The former RCA building, or factory, was converted into apartments with ground level shopping in 2006 and the Campbells' food company still operates in the city.

View of the rain water as it poured down the brick road, in front of our place, while more rain pelted the street. As a sidenote, about taking photos in inclement weather conditions, going outside during a rain storm to take a photograph of the street risks getting odd looks from occupants of cars passing by at the time.
