Victorian Grave Marker in Christ Church Burial Grounds
In memory of THOMAS W. FRANCIS who departed this life on the ?2nd of June 1815 in the 48th year of his age. lamented in his death as he had been beloved throughout his life.
Victorian Era produced some of the more striking grave markers found in cemeteries. This is one of two in Christ Church Burial Grounds that shared an Egyptian or Pyramid theme. Preservation of this stone is visible with an attempt to seal a large crack that runs through part of the inscription.
