Photos of my 2002 VW Jetta after hitting a deer on 13 November 2006. Oblique view of the windshield impact. I was looking at the deer as it tried to put its face into the cabin, but it very quickly bounced away and fell dead to the road. We continued driving straight, our momentum arrested, which probably saved our lives. Had we swerved we would have probably flipped the car in the ditch to either side of the road. While these photos were taken at the body shop, they are geotagged at the spot of the accident.

Photos of my 2002 VW Jetta after hitting a deer on 13 November 2006. The interior was filled with safety glass due to the exploded windshield. The plastic covers of the interior lights also came off, and I haven't been able to find them (or explain how they came on.) While these photos were taken at the body shop, they are geotagged at the spot of the accident.
