upcoming holiday markets |
A venue of Turkey Vultures (Cathartes aura) roosted up in the trees in my backyard this morning.
As the morning light came over the houses, the vultures shifted position a few times, and many finally turned so I could capture more than their tailfeathers.

Light-morph Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) perching on a power line by Ironbound Road in Williamsburg.
The coloration on the tail indicates it's a juvenile.

Williamsburg Farmer's Market (March 2007) |
