A Venue of Vultures (III) |
by Brett Peters |
A venue of Turkey Vultures (Cathartes aura) roosted up in the trees in my backyard this morning.
This tree often holds woodpeckers and nuthatches, but today it hosted a very large turkey vulture. (At times, it hosted two.)
At my son's prompting, I walked outside to see if there was any way to get better shots with my Powershot A95. Even with full zoom, this is the best magnification I could get.
Best viewed large.
