My good buddy Marc 'won' one of the BBC's weekly Punorama contests, where you have to think up puns for the event they define. The story this week was that female soldiers took up posts guarding Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle for the first time ever. For centuries it has been a ceremonial role reserved exclusively for the boys. Five women from the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery marched into Windsor, while four from the Army Air Corps reported for duty at the Palace. Marc's pun: Buckingham Alice Nice..
