Another one from my wanderings around the streets of Boston last July. This was just near the Old State House (see my previous photo). Something about the green metal fire escape just made me want to snap it.

I walked some of Boston's Freedom Trail, which is how I found myself here at one point.
Didn't go in, but I did spend some time looking up to the sky with my wide angle lens on, hence this photo.

After New York, I caught a train up to Boston. Where the temperatures were still high, but more managable than New York, and the pace rather more gentle.
I much prefered walking down all the little side streets in Boston over the usual tourist locations, although this particular photo was taken whilst on the Boston Trolley Tour, looking down Henchman Street, with the Old North Church poking up off in the distance.

A frozen River Dee |
A frozen River Dee |
Back to New York for one last time from my trip there in July. This like a few of my previous photos was taken from the top of the Empire State Building during a couple of hours I spent up there snapping shots.
Some of that time was spent helping other strangers take photos, mainly telling them to turn off their flashes, and rest their camera on the edge of the wall!

Although the temperature had lifted a little, and I didn't have much hope that there would be ice to see down at Cambus O'May, I was suprised to see the River Dee almost completely frozen up.

Taken from the top of the Empire State Building, whilst a storm started to brew over Manhattan in the evening.
A particular fierce lightning storm started just as I got back to my hotel room after I had been up the Empire State Building.
