Andrew Johnson, before his death, made a comment along the lines of, “When I die, I need no softer pillow than the Constitution and no warmer blanket than the American flag.” Thus, he is buried in the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery in Greeneville, Tennessee (down the street from his home), with his head resting on a copy of the US Constitution and his body wrapped in an American flag.

A trivial note: Andrew Johnson and John Tyler were both quite unpopular presidents, though both arguably contributed greatly to the stability of the country by their actions during difficult circumstances. They were also the only two men in US history to be governor, congressman, senator, vice-president and president.
