Thomas recently posted a similar photo here. This place, I've always called Albany Bulb, is a state park I believe and has served as an awesome spot to shoot, walk, reflect and even skate. Some guys I talked to at the skate "Bowl" actually turned out to be guys that helped build the bowl. The bowl served as a great spot for skaters to hang out, it was hidden and you had to walk from the parking lot about a half mile or so, so therefore there were less people, a nice view of the bay and some awesome art surrounding the obstacle. Little did anyone know, the bowl has been torn down, by the city I presume. Where do the skaters go? Why was such a spectacular place torn down?Where was the warning? What is the reasoning? What do the guys that spent 2 weeks hauling water from the bay and 10 pound concrete bags half a mile each way think of all of this? I'd be pretty pissed, and since I am a skater, I am pretty pissed. A simple place where we used to hang out can just be torn down without the simplest warning.
