Most impressive birds to be sighted in the Pyrenees, Vultures are protected species in the area. Reaching a good 20.000 count, it's easy to see them in the area, but also further. Since a recent european directive is not allowing dead animals to be disposed in the nature for the vultures anymore, they're desperatly looking for food ! It urges them to adopt new behaviours. Some try to migrate, and 200 of them have been sighted in Belgium ! Reports or rumours of attacks by vultures are also creating controversy.
