My first play around with Adobe Lightroom. I can see this program is going to be absolutely brilliant working on RAW files. The base of this photo was a JPG, so not the best, and I have gone a bit overboard and its gone a bit contrasty on the far buidings. Still fun to play around with though. The biggest job? Getting rid of all the London Cigarette butts littering the ground. Thank god for Adobe's Heal tool :)

Regal

Time for a pet photograph! This is my parents dog, Barney, looking regal-ish, I think? Either that or he is a bit pissed he is having a photograph taken of him :) Taken last year on the day I got my EOS!

Tangled

A beautiful sunset over the top of the houses in the street next to mine. The way the sun was silhouetting the trees was screaming out for a photograph. I love the tangled look the branches give to this shot.

Played around a bit with the color balance, a bit of red added to the highlights and blue added to the shadows. Very grainy.. gives it a sort of... gritty texture to the photograph when viewed at large sizes. I like it quite a lot despite the fact that it's not brilliant.

I love my wide angle lens. It just brings shots like this really to life! I should say the that I cropped this a bit and played with the color balance (slightly).

It seems like this Autumn is being fantastic for gorgeous sunrise and sunsets. I just wish I was good enough to convert these photographs into something really special - time to take some photoshop lessons and become creative :) For now i'll just stick with straight-off-the-camera!

Please excuse the Photomatix watermarks. I wanted to see what this HDR business is all about and used the Photomatix trial to create this image. Don't think I'll do any more though, I don't quite grok the process involved, though I do like looking at other peoples images.

Starry Starry Night

The marina at Bardolino to the left, and the many restaurants and town center to the right. Strolling along here at dusk is a calming and relaxing experience. The star effect generated using a Hoya Star Six filter.

Cremona Duomo Chapel

The Cremona Duomo is fascinating because, unlike a lot of other old churches around the world it has not been renovated to a point of sterility. Instead it has worn marble floor tiles and columns, cracked ceilings and tourists are free to roam anywhere. This small chapel in the basement of the Duomo is a perfect example of what this place is like. The small chapel in the basement of the Duomo in Cremona is
