This was a tiger at the Allwetterzoo in Münster. Very territorial animals, and it was predictable the path he was going to take, and for the first time in..maybe ever..I had the right lens on at the right time! Thusly, when he passed by the glass and took a look at everyone, I was able to get these shots of his face in great detail (even through the glass, which I usually don't do).

Yep, I named him. Isn't he magnificent?

While the symbols and shapes the bushes formed didn't really remind me of French culture, the gardens at Versailles were absolutely breathtaking nonetheless.

Inside the Palace of Versailles. The deep red color of the wallpaper, tapestries, and furniture was used to hold warmth inside the castle during the cold winter months.

This is a really amazing little creek in Alaska, there are tons of these red salmon just fighting to get upriver. They are losing their skin and slowly dying which is why they are mostly red and sometimes yellow in some places. I'm not exactly sure where this is but it was a beautiful thing to see :)
