This view of Cluj, Romania was taken with a Voigtlander Bessa-II 6x9 mounted on a tripod. I have to work on my viewfinder technique, to avoid distracting bits of wall in the frame. This scanned Fujicolor 160S hasn't been doctored, thus the black strip across the bottom. Download the large (3027 x 2048)for a closer look at the city. If you have ideas about cropping, don't hesitate to comment here.

This landscape was snapped during a 2006 practice hike from Sinaia to Babele in the Bucegi, a region of the carpathian mountains in Romania. I was practicing with a hand-held Voigtlander Bessa-II 6x9. This image is as scanned from the Fuji negative. I'm not certain if the fuzziness at infinity is my error or a lingering problem with the lens (im)properly setting on opening the camera.

On a recent visit to the Tyler arboretum, we happened across the Pennsylvania-Delaware ISA regional tree climbing competition. Their website is at http://www.penndelisa.org/
It was surprisingly engaging to watch the ~60 ft (~20 m) belayed speed climb. The route from ground to bell took about 20 seconds for the journeyman climbers. I snapped several photos using full auto mode, often getting soft focus because of intervening branches.
This set experiments with portals to follow a climber up the marked route.

The end of the route is lost in the foliage, a body-length above. A journeyman makes the 60ft (~20 m) trip in about 20 seconds.

East view of the campus, probably from a balloon. That would explain the crowd, which is not organized around a sporting event.
