Hot Springs Eternal |

I took this shot while on a business trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas. It’s a quirky little town that’s well worth taking the time to wander around, especially if you have a camera. It boasts several interesting examples of Gilded Age architecture and a strong nostalgic link to the turn of the turn of the 20th century holistic medicine craze. Looking at all of the old bathhouses, sanitariums, and shops that once housed “medicinal water” vendors reminded me of the movie The Road to Wellville.
The building in the picture above with the lighted towers keeping watch over the main strip is The Arlington Hotel. The nifty old building is where I stayed (and worked) during the trip, and apparently was a favorite getaway for Al Capone.
