Old Fence at Point Reyes |
Hermit Crab |
|
I really like this photo. I have a framed 16x20 print hanging in my apartment.
This was taken near the lighthouse at the tip of Point Reyes, looking back along the beach on the northern edge of the point.

View of a hermit crab after being plucked out of a tide pool on the Northern California coast. He didn't make a good subject. Maybe that's why they're called hermit crabs?

A Small White Rock |
New Zealand Creek |
Shells at Akaroa Beach |
The rock here at Lake Te Anau really stood out. Someday, if I ever go back to New Zealand, I'd like to see that rock again.

I got this photo on the way to Milford Sound. This one is funny because of what you can't see. I took this photo standing on a small bridge that was crowded with Korean tourists. Right when we arrived at the parking lot two or three buses of Koreans arrived as well. We were the only Westerners around. Quite a strange experience.

These shells are located at the most incredible beach I have ever visited. The beach is at a small town called Akaroa. It's on the Banks Peninsula in New Zealand. The beach itself was covered with these shells. It was by far the largest concentration of sea shells I have ever seen in my life.

Bee on a Mustard Flower |
The Fearsome Spider |
Sky Panorama |
This photo won me an honorable mention at the 2006 Napa Valley Mustard Festival, and I sold it for $200 (but the Mustard Festival got half).

This spider was walking across the kitchen floor. He's lucky he became the subject of a photograph rather than the subject of a boot.

Orion, Taurus and the Pleiades. It wasn't a perfectly clear night, but I think it looks better that way.

Another mustard shot. Same location as the other foggy mustard photo, but about 100 feet south.

I took this shot in my mom's backyard on a moonless night. What's lighting up the clouds is the skyglow from Napa. You can see the big dipper to the left of the tree.

Buster spends most of his time sleeping. He's very old, so this is one of the few times he's awake. I spent four days camped out, waiting for the right moment and it paid off. I didn't sleep at all those four days, because I didn't want to miss my one and only chance.

Misty Morning |
Spencer (or Spency Wency if you prefer) just after waking up. His face is lit by the warm glow of the lamp on the table behind me.

I went on campus on a quiet Sunday night to see what there is to see, and this is what I saw. Blue streetlights!

I thought I'd get up early one morning before dawn and take some mustard photos. I got this one outside Yountville. My shoes got soaked and my feet were freezing, but it was worth it.
