Walking on Lake Hennessey |
by Ben Dan Hawks |
The wide angle lens was a little too narrow, so I took three pictures of this lakebed. It was freezing out there, and the ground ranged from hard clay to sinkhole. I found human footprints out there that seemed to start from nowhere and go to nowhere. It was pretty weird, but funny because I could tell somebody got muddy.
Putting the shots together was a bit of a pain, but I think it came decent enough. No special merging software for me. Photoshop's merging feature fails.
Editing: Lens distortion reduction, image merging, chromatic abrasion fixes, color matching and correction and tweaking, contrast enhancement, minor touch-up (as well as dodging and burning), and finally, depth improvement (trickery).
