A photograph is taken of a Neolithic corridor dolmen in Andalusia, September 2001. Luckily the Health and Safety Executives remit doesn't expand beyond the English channel, cos I'm not sure they would like the photographers vantage point...
A bit more about the monuments of the region:

Taken in late June/early July 2003 whilst working on a Somerset County Council community excavation. Its nice to remember such a glorious summer now winter is setting upon us.

The Tate Modern recently installed a work of art by Doris Salcedo. This took the form of a 548ft crack along the length of the Turbine Hall. Although intriguing in itself, more interesting was watching people examine and explore it

Now I'm back at uni, and for the first time in a while not wandering from job to job, I've had time to sort through old photos.
A few years ago whilst at university I undertook some work experience with the nice people at English Heritage ( http://tinyurl.com/3dzlus ) working with archaeological metals and slag. Whilst being taught to use the scanning electron microscope I practiced on some of the insects who had expired in the confines of the windowless lab.

An archetypal dull late September day in central London. I've rather crudely been trying to enhance the colour of the umbrellas.

I love medieval paintings and carvings, particularly for the faces. This lump of masonry, and that in the next photo can be found in the Norman crypt of Bath Abbey, now converted into a small museum on the archaeology of the church.
