跟隨他走在鄉間路上，能在一滴露珠裡看到超級新星，在一粒沙塵中看到無限世界。會讓你明白人生在世每一時刻無處不是奇蹟。
在「穿越宇宙的一哩路」中，作者記下自己在這條路上仔細觀察的心得，憑著科學家的好奇心、歷史學家的觀點以及童稚的驚奇感，把地方特色與整個世界聯繫在一起，由微世界聯想到整個宇宙。他在這條路上每走一步，周圍的景觀都變得更豐富，更是空間無限，為他開啟一扇扇通往天文、幾何、生物、歷史與文學知識及趣味之門。
