![]() Hosteria Las TorresPatagonia is not al backpacking. If you cannot immagine yourself sleeping in a tent, or even a bunk bed in one of the Refugios, you could always stay here at the base of Valle Ascencio with all of the other tourists, and be within reach of a day hike of the Torres. Just don't expect to get there for sunrise.
As things go, the people we saw comming from this place on the trail tended to haveexpensive and overbought clothing. More so than the backpackers. I saw people in $300 climbing pants that have probably never been off of the trail, let alone seen a climbing harness.

![]() Cuerno PrincipalOne FaveAs the evening progressed, we kept hiking to reach Campamento Italiano (at the mouth of the valley just in front and left of the Cuernos). This is the view we had, shot directly from the trail. The light kept changing by the second.
