Long story short, a providence by the venezuelan Commission of Currency Administration (CADIVI) published on December 27, 2007 puts a limit of $400 per year for online payments. That makes it much harder to pay for web hosting, domain names, web services, software, books, photography equipment and many other things that simply can't be bought in Venezuela.
