My attraction to photography stems from the idea of capturing a single moment in time, and the memory that extends from that moment. People will only look at photographs for a matter of seconds, but they will hold the memories within the photographs for a lifetime. A photograph will mean something different to each person who looks at it. My goal is to capture moments of my life; moments of magnitude and minutiae, of pleasure and pain, which collectively make up the memories of a lifetime.

I have uploaded some older photographs, but mainly I look to keep things relatively fresh and new. I enjoy bettering myself as a photographer and try to keep learning new skills from those with more experience, as well as discover my own techniques through practice. I have a bad habit of only wanting to upload the photos that are artistically sound, but I know that most people could care less about the aesthetics, so I’m trying to break the habit and go for quantity.

One of the downfalls of Zooomr (there aren’t many) is that it can be difficult to view pictures without sifting through many pages of semi-organized data. This can be time consuming, especially as the number of photographs uploaded increases. To minimize this I am creating “Sets” that are more structured. These are located on the right side of the photos page. Some are organized by date or appointment, and some are organized by subject. As I upload more photos, I will continue organizing them in the “Sets” for more convenient viewing.
