From my zipline when I saw this feature this morning (afternoon? whenever...) ;

Microblogging with photos. Microphotoblogging. I forsee some very bad things with people who don't maintain the metadata on their photos...

I wonder if this means that if you upload 5 photos, you'll get 5 Zipline entries, each with the set title/description, and thumb floating on the right.

Maybe an alternating float: left; and float: right? :D

Interesting. Most recent Zip in the speech bubble. Also, I REALLY like the stats box. Fan count, contact count, and the mini-avatar-thumb box of contacts.

Oh. I see. It only shows it for single picture uploads. Nice. I think it'd be cool if there were a preference for "expand/collapse" zips.

Collapse = old style thumbs only photos on zip.
Expand = title+Description+thumb style for ALL uploaded photos for users being followed.

i like very much this enhancements, really...

but i have some feature request:

feed rss

possibility to browse, for example: page 2, page 3...

possibility to see only the photos, without the activities and other stuff, with a button...

another features that now i don't remenber :P

It's pretty to the eyes - that said, how about fixing the foundation of that bug/feature list before you go painting the house. The lack of any real time frame/progress for those core features that were well established before this "upgrade" is extremely frustrating.

Pages will be coming -- but it's tricky because of the nature of how we generate Zipline -- this is not a linear system.

Facebook has the same problem.

Doesn't mean it won't happen.

Also, these features are going to save the company in more ways than one, guys. It will all make sense later on. Bugs will be squashed too, I just have a short timeframe to do a lot of other things.

I like the new changes to Zipline.

Wtf? I don't need an improvement of the zipline - I want the "features" that existed already in release 2. RSS, full EXIF-Support, recent activity. Stop focusing on zipline and groups. It's only "nice to have". They are not as important as the core functions jpghouse mentioned before.

Now that we have a Public Zipline, it would be nice to get the API working so that we can use jUploadr to upload our photos with real titles and avoid filling the Public Zipline with titles like "P1060202" and "IMG_2799".

Here's what's keeping me from totally abandoning Zooomr: unlimited free uploads and flexible SmartSets.

Here's what is getting me really close to leaving Zooomr: incomplete implementation of SmartSets, no way to organize a lot of photos, no jUploadr.

Interestingly, while I never considered joining a pay site, using Zooomr for a while has made me realize the advantages and stability of pay sites. So I'm actually considering switching to a pay site where I wouldn't have without Zooomr.
