I'd really like to see a list of current Zooomr bugs and missing features (edited by Kris and Tom), and then updated daily by them with the work done to fix them. I don't want to have to read through hundreds of threads to get at one or two sentences that let me know a bug's been fixed. I want a central list of features and bugs, one or two pages long, that only Tom and Kris edit. Maybe there is one already, and if so, please let me know.
It feels like all that's been going on since Mark III was launched is that it's been made more stable. A lot of the features are still MIA. I'm willing to be patient, but it would really help to be able to look at a list every day and know that some progress has been made toward meeting the stated goals of this third release.
Let's see some of that Zooomr transparency! :-)

Raoul,
I agree with you. Using the Groups is not a good place for this information to be stored.
Definitely would like to see a list of all bugs and MarkII functions not running with an expected timeframe for release. But also agree that the list needs to be edited by Kris and Tom only, based on submissions via zmails, zipline or whatever.

I totally agree... it's kind of irksome to check out every or every second day for myself if things are improving and to find out that they're not. But i'm patient of course, just wanna know more about the ongoing process... :o)

Agree - need a list of features (not bugs as there can be many bugs per feature) and their status/ priority.

I can't imagine the amount of whining when people see their hot button feature/bug is low on the list.
While I would like to have an easy place to check on how the ugrade/update progress is being made, I don't want to see the process become politicized or distracting.
It would be interesting to see the bugs and features in general priority/progress groups. Plus, the community could be mobilized if priority changes or progress stalls for some reason we can affect. (I'm thinking outside technical support/contacts or the karma boosts we've been asked to provide like thank yous and blog posts...)

I agree and have been asking for this for some time now. I keep seeing the same questions over and over again (like are SmartSets working?) because nobody can read through the giant thread of messages.
It's even worst now because the Official Zooomr Mark III Launch thread is seven pages long and there is a bug in Group threads that doesn't display page 7 until you go to page 6 first. Others have missed postings because they didn't see the last page.
I would suggest any new Help messages be started in a new message thread or added to one of the shorter threads instead of the Official Zooomr Mark III Launch thread.
All the bugs and features mentioned in the Zooomr Bug Wiki and this Help Group are logged and entered into the internal Zooomr Trac data base so nothing will be missed. It's just a matter of publishing the information and assigning a timeline for each task. I believe the feeling is this takes away time that could be spent on fixing the bugs and adding the missing features to Zooomr.

I concur. Although, I do remember seeing a post about a wiki, but don't know the url. I don't think Kris and Tom are managing it. I have not submitted bugs because I assume someone else has and I don't want to search through the threads.

I can't imagine the amount of whining when people see their hot button feature/bug is low on the list. That is why I suggested no comments at all on that list. What we don't want is a comment flood. I just want to see a list of regular updates so it looks like progress is being made, even if it's just small stuff. It's really encouraging to see a fix, even if it's just a spelling error or text change or something like that. Really.
