I personally am a new owner of a Nikon D40! I'm learning about it mostly by trial and error. What fun!!

I purchased a Nikon D40 about a year ago and I love it. I also learned mostly by trial and error. I purchased some books that I use for reference but I still find myself using different settings just to see what will happen.

I have D40x for one year also. For macros I bought SIGMA macro 17-70mm. The lens ist well. Apology, my English is not so good.

I have a D40 myself and it works wonders for me i love it.
