Have you tried Gnash yet? Does it not solve the need for any of the above madness? ( http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/ )

I was using the official flash player. I still am, so I'm not sure that is the problem, but no, I have not tried it.
You had any luck?

I only have a headless linux box at home. While I can ssh in and fire up a vnc session, I don't do it unless I really need to.
Not that Gnash would cripple anything, but I'm not in the position to install and test it at the moment.

I can upload images using Seamonkey.

My brother cheesebaron had the same issues there. You have to ask him how he did. But he managed to upload pictrues in linux...

Looks like someone saw this (or maybe just great minds think alike, or fools seldom differ, well... something!) Anyway, for *MUCH* more detail, someone has kindly written a long version - http://zuuumeristi.wordpress.com/2007/09/23/uploading-to-zooomr-from-linux-you-can-with-a-trick/

I managed uploading on Linux.
My "hack" is based on the "no js"-Hack, but kind of extended.
The Situation is following: On the upload-page, the "normal" Upload-Field is replaced by an Flash-Upload-Control.
So I blocked the upload-Control using AdblockPlus, the Rule to block this is:
*/uploadr_i/Swiff.Uploader.swf*
I can now upload pic by pic, but as long as the Flash-Uploader "forgets" some pics, this is no bad deal...
