Hey, it's not MIRC chat but IRC chat. mIRC is just a client for IRC (IRC is the protocol).

Zooomr is not jUploadr, so, mIRC is not IRC :-)

Undernet? Hasn't the chan on freenode been going longer?

Longer?.. doubtful, but possible.

When it became obvious that the ustream #Zooomr-mark-iii-launch channel would eventually be closed, another channel was started on Undernet.

When everybody hopped from launch to #zooomr-tv, the channel on Freenode was given the "official" nod by Kristopher. We just chose not to give up our Undernet channel.

And I tell ya, from what i've seen, it's been far far more active than Freenode.

We just enjoy the priveleges and rank conferred by 'unnoffical.' Like... no floods, less griefers, snarky comments about annoying people in the official chat, bots, closer sense of community, and a few behind the scenes sleuthings

There a nice quality about our Unofficial chat--we have some great discussions and fun in there. Plus, no griefers or anything, so it is easier to talk. It Since it isn't as crazy as #Zooomr-TV (and doesn't have constant join/parts) its easier to talk. Its also fun to talk about what is going on in the other chat--sort of an awesome side discussion. :)

In total agreement with BG and homestar...the unofficial room is much more cozy, friendly and easy to be on. There are no zooomr haters there and you get the added bonus of being around a whole lot of awesome people!
