The day of Saint Nicholas on whom Santa Claus was based. Every child gets presents from this saint on this day. They are delivered by black coulered people who come in by the chimney. Weird for a protestant country to have a Saint for hero.

This picture made her feel very old. I blew up the contrast, but didn't do anything special to the picture. She looks good for 72, doesn't she.

Around the Lake of Lauwersoog there are a lot of different landscapes. Some make me think of other countries and other continents. this one makes me think of South Africa.
