I started Zooomr to help my family and friends share their photos with the entire world.
Today, everyone can sign-up and share unlimited photos with their family, friends and the entire world as well. I enjoy helping people communicate in new ways and hope that Zooomr helps you do just that.
When I'm not working hard on on Zooomr, I share my time with the ones close to me. I enjoy speaking in many languages, including English, Japanese and Spanish.
Above all, Zooomr continues to grow because of its users, not because of the team that maintains it. I'm personally very excited to have so many wonderful people sharing their experiences with the world on Zooomr. |
Document, explore, lather, rinse, repeat. Photography for me then becomes a kind of hyperactive life documentary, loosely arranged and presented.
My work is less about individual images and instead more about the power of a massive amount of excessive and disjointed images -- a mighty rush of water, where stories, characters and places sometimes stay and other times reappear or disappear entirely for no good reason at all.
I regularly shoot as a freelancer for San Francisco Magazine and have had my work published in numerous places from the BBC to JPG Magazine. Robert Scoble and I work on a show called Photowalking which can be seen on ScobleShow on Podtech.

Toru Murakami has been a force in the Japanese Web industry since the early days working as an Executive VP and Founding Member at IMJ in Japan and Korea.
Today, he is a professor at Digital Hollywood, Japan’s first College designed for digital content authoring. Mr. Murakami’s influence has certainly helped sculpt Zooomr into a strong player for the Japanese Market. His understanding for talent and ideas goes much further than his deep qualifications; We thank Mr. Murakami for his time and welcome him to our advisory board. |
As Zooomr's Art Director, I help make Zooomr become as universal as the photos and experiences it helps people share.
Since I've always had web hosting, I never understood the need for a photo sharing site like Zooomr until I actually used it. While I was initially impressed by the technology (Zooomr could do things with GeoTagging, notes and portals that no one else could) it's the community -- something that I couldn't accomplish by hosting my own photos -- that really made the difference for me.
I’ve been based in Japan for over 5-years, both working and studying. My main focus has been communications, both visual and verbal. |
